Hello, we are a small food establishment, inspired by the seasoning of tasty Puerto Rican food. At present we have a food truck where you can visit us, we also deliver food at home, but we have big dreams of being able to expand in the future and establish a great restaurant where our customers can meet to eat and relax quietly and peacefully.
Currently we have staff with the desire to provide you with our best service and excellent food that is distinguished by its great flavor, prepared in the Caribbean style of Puerto Rico. Our Name
We know that our name can seem catchy or curious, but that it can also seem crazy, strange or misspelled…
We are a Puerto Rican family and we chose that name among all of us because we thought it was something different, funny, jovial and original with a Puerto Rican touch. In fact, the idea for that name was born from a young man in the family and we all thought it sounds good, striking and original.
We chose to say it that way trying to use the way many Puerto Ricans speak who by nature know us for changing the meaning of words and frequently changing their correct pronunciation and we did not want to go far from that to feel more in the environment.
The word «ACHO» is an expression or crutch (slogan) mostly used by young people in Puerto Rico to express something exciting, call attention, make a comment about something big or nice, or to shorten or replace the word boy or girl.
The word «JALTERA» is actually spelled Hartera or Jartera that in Puerto Rico we give it the meaning of fullness or over full. (Example: «I can’t eat any more, I’m very full»). But since in Puerto Rico we tend to change the pronunciation of words a lot, it is very customary to say «JALTERA» to say that we are very full.
From there the name of our Puerto Rican food establishment, ACHO QUE JALTERA PUERTO RICAN FOOD, was born and arises.

Great food / Buena comida
Not only was the rice and beans and bbq chicken delicious, but the owners who run this food truck are so sweet, happy and love to make food- you can tell! I will be coming back again.
